Creative Recovery Training Workshop - Expression of Interest
Consultation has concluded
Calling all Isaac artists and arts workers! We all know the impact that cyclones, fire, drought and other natural disasters have had on our communities.
If you're interested in developing your skills in how the arts can help in times of disaster and recovery, a great training opportunity has opened up.
Central Queensland Regional Arts Services Network (CQ RASN) has partnered with the Creative Recovery Network to offer a 2.5 day immersive workshop in Creative Recovery Training. The workshop will happen at Mackay’s Jubilee Community Centre on Friday 6 August (4.30- 8.00pm), Saturday 7 August (9-5pm) and Sunday 8 August (9-4 pm).
Creative Recovery Training (via facilitator Scotia Monkivitch) will help you grow your skills and connect you into a wide network of community facilitators. Participation will enable you to be better equipped to support your community in difficult times.
At the end of this training, you will:
• Understand the way trauma impacts on our communities and how best to plan and present support programs.
• Have a planning framework to support community project planning and facilitation.
• Have resources and skills to support community project development within a disaster context.
• Be connected to like-minded people.
The registration fee is $20. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
