Isaac Regional Council is committed to assisting local not for profit community groups and organisations by providing community grants in an equitable and accountable manner. In order to ensure community assistance will benefit the region and our residents, Council has developed a Community Grants Policy and application process.
The Isaac Community Grants program funds local projects, events and activities which help develop resilient, adaptive and vibrant communities while contributing to the social well-being of its residents, workers and visitors.
Grants will be assessed across a number of categories and applicants are encouraged to think about how their project, event or activity will benefit the people and community of the region, and what outcomes it will provide.
Minor Grant applications for up to $1000 are open year-round and are assessed on a per needs basis. Applications must be received at least 4 weeks before the project, event or activity date.
Major Grant applications are assessed in three set rounds through the financial year. Dates for are outlined below.

Isaac’s Minor and Major grant program assists local not-for-profit community groups and organisations undertaking innovative projects or activities which benefit the community across the following categories:
*In conjunction with the Queensland Government, we’re offering grants to groups who deliver events/activities that enhance community connectedness and/or help participants link with relevant support networks in the face of drought.
*Events/activities targeting areas east of Marlborough-Sarina Road are ineligible.

Funding is available to support Isaac Regional Council local government area residents who are performing, competing or representing the region at national or international competitions or events across the areas of:

Isaac regional Council requires that all recipients of Isaac Community Grants must complete an Acquittal Report within 12 weeks of the completion of their project, program or event.
Acquittal reports are essential in maintaining accountability for the use of public funds. Failure to provide satisfactory acquittal means the recipient may be ineligible for future funding.
All financial and commercial information of your organisation remains confidential. Council reserves the right to print or publish Acquittal Report information for the purpose of promotion of the Isaac Community Grants program or reporting on successful events.
