Plein air sketching workshop: Monday 11 April 2022 9.30am to 12.30pm Moranbah Town Square
Learn techniques for drawing and painting landscapes from award-winning artist Lyn Laver-Ahmat. As the workshop is capped at 12 participants, you must reserve your place by registering below. You must bring your own folding chair, hat, water bottle and snacks. Please gather outside the Moranbah Library before 9.30am and you will be directed to the location of the workshop.
“Light on Landscape” incorporates paintings and plein air work taking inspiration from the artist’s travels around Queensland and closer to her home at Slade Point.

Lyn has spent over three decades establishing her arts practice responding to personal connections to nature and place. She was also recently awarded with the coveted John Villiers Outback Art Prize in 2021.
Exhibition open 13 January - 22 February 2022. Monday to Friday; 8.30am - 5pm. Moranbah Coalface Art Gallary.
