You’re invited to a Mackenzie River only, end of year celebration!

In conjunction with Catherine and Scott Phillis, Isaac Regional Council would like to invite you to Carlo Creek for fun, festivities and Christmas dinner!

This event is being presented as part of Council’s Dry Lands to High Hopes program aiming to connect drought-affected communities with not only one another, but also vital health, wellbeing and emergency service providers. The program is funded by the Queensland Government’s Community Drought Support fund.

The 28 November event will allow community members a chance to reconnect and relax after what has been a challenging year. Health, wellness and emergency service providers will be on-hand to chat to community members and free on-site health checks will be available to all guests!

Dinner will be provided but attendees are encouraged to bring their own drinks.

Getting to Carlo Creek

The event is being held at ‘Carlo Creek’, Catherine & Scott Phillis' property on Fitzroy Development Road (the Beef Road). Carlo Creek is approximately 25 minutes down the Beef Road as you travel toward Mackenzie River from Dysart Middlemount Road. The property is on the right-hand side of the road and has a large white sign out the front. If you’re travelling from the other direction, the property is approximately 5 minutes from the Mackenzie River school and will be on the left-hand side of the road.

Once you’ve reached Carlo Creek, go over the first cattle grid to enter the property and follow the road. Travel for approximately 4 minutes and the road will veer off to the left and wind around a big, white concrete tank. You will then come to a fork in the road. Go to the right and you will soon see the house. Please park as the signage directs.
