Budding film makers get excited!

Academy award winning cinematographer, Greg Huglin of Noosa Film Academy is coming to Dysart on Saturday 22 May to facilitate a one day film making workshop for adults at the Council building, Shannon Crescent starting at 10.00am.

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to create a short film while learning new skills in script writing, directing, acting and post-production editing. They will also benefit from using the latest technological equipment and receiving career advice from an acclaimed film industry professional.

As places are limited, to secure your place you must register by completing the form below.

Participants are requested to arrive 15 minutes before the workshop commences. Bring your own lunch, snacks and water. The workshop will finish at 3.00pm.

Greg and Andrea Huglin will also facilitate a community “red carpet” screening at Dysart Civic Centre on the afternoon of Sunday 23 May 2021. Students, adults and their families will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet and view on the big screen the short film created at the adult workshop as well as the four short films created at the school based workshops being conducted by Noosa Film Academy in Moranbah, Dysart, Clermont and Middlemount between Monday 17 May and Thursday 20 May. Greg and Andrea will also screen some family friendly films made by Noosa Film Academy for your viewing pleasure.

Attendees of the “red carpet” screening must also register by completing the form below. Attendees are requested to arrive at 12.30pm so that they may walk the red carpet before the screening commences at 1.00pm. The event will end at 3.00pm.

This project is made possible due to funding support from the Regional Arts Development Fund. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Isaac Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
