I live outside the Isaac Regional Council area. Can I use this clinic to get my dog microchipped?
No, the program is only available to Isaac Regional Council residents.
I don't want to get my dog microchipped, but I still want to register my dog.

Yes, but customers are reminded that registration is a legal requirement from 12 weeks, if your dog is not registered, we recommend you register your pet immediately.
If your dog is under 12 months, you will be eligible for free puppy registration.
Remember that Council is also offering free dog registration for the current registration period for those who microchip their dog at the clinics.
Does microchipping mean my dog is registered?
No. Please note that microchipping is different than registration with Council, but both are compulsory.
Microchipping is a means of identifying your dog electronically by putting a microchip under the dog’s skin. Since microchips require no power, there’s nothing that needs to be charged, worn out or replaced. The microchip will last your pet’s lifetime.
Registration is a legal requirement from 12 weeks. if your dog is not registered, we recommend you register your dog immediately. If your dog is under 12 months, you will be eligible for puppy registration.
Registration provides Council with a description of your dog, identifies you as the owner and lists contact information. If your dog is wearing its collar and registration tag and becomes lost or goes wandering, it can be quickly re-united with you.
