    Only registered community groups (incorporated associations) are eligible to apply.

    Can more than one group apply for the site?

    Yes. The land may be leased:

    • to one group for the entire site, or

    to multiple groups for separate portions.

    What does Council mean by "activating the space"?

    Council is seeking proposals that:

    • Deliver regular, ongoing community use
    • Provide demonstrable community benefit
    • Maintain and improve the site over time

    Is there infrastructure on the site?

    Yes, refer to Land Improvements for information.

    Is the site serviced (power, water, sewer)?

    Some infrastructure exists; however:

    • Electricity may need to be installed, upgraded or connected
    • The toilet block requires power for lighting and sewerage pump operation

    Applicants should factor these requirements into their proposal.

    What will the successful applicant/s be responsible for?

    The successful respondent/s will be responsible for:

    • Day‑to‑day operation and management
    • Maintenance and repairs
    • Cleaning and waste management
    • Utility costs and outgoings

    Promotion and programming of activities

    Are there requirements around weeds and land management?

    Yes. The lessee must keep the site free from noxious plants and weeds and maintain the grounds.

    Can we make improvements to the site?

    Yes, however:

    • All additions or alterations require prior written approval from Council
