When does barking become a nuisance?
Barking becomes a nuisance when it is excessive and annoys,

- or those living in the vicinity of the dog (such as neighbours)

- shift workers trying to sleep
- people recovering from illness
- people caring for those who are unwell
There are many situations in life that can change a persons tolerance for barking.
What could trigger barking?
- rustling leaves
- the post man
- a banging window
- a knock at the door
Can all trigger a barking response.
How will my responses/information be used?
Your responses will not be released to any individual. Your response will be used by the Council only for the purpose of identifying if there is a community nuisance. You may be contacted by Council Officers regarding the responses provided.
