Step right up, partners! Council’s lookin’ to name some trusty ol’ horses, and we reckon you might just have the perfect one rattlin’ around in that clever noggin of yours.

Saddle up, because sharing your best horse name could put you in the running for a $250 Shop Isaac gift card, that’s right, two‑hundred‑and‑fifty bucks to spend quicker than a kookaburra cracks a laugh!
Competition from 25 March 2026 through to 20 May 2026 with the winner announced at the Clermont Museum Open Day on 13 June 2026.

Submission Requirements:
Entries must be submitted through Speak Up with the following information: participant category, name submission, a minimum 25-word description as to why the participant submitted their chosen name along with the participants contact name, email address and phone number.
Participants will fall into the participant categories listed and can only name the horse designated for their category. If the participant has multiple different names, they may make multiple entries as long as the submission is complete and doesn't meet the ineligibility criteria.
Entries will be ineligible if the submission is incomplete, offensive, inappropriate, or does not meet the minimum 25-word explanation requirement.
Judging Criteria:
Entries will be judged against the following criteria - originality, creativity & relevance to local history.
Judges will score each entry against the above criteria, where scores are tied the judging panel will determine the winner by consensus, with relevance to local history to be given greatest weight.
The judging panel's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Winners Announcement
Competition winners will be announced at the Clermont Museum Open Day on the 13 June 2026, and each winner will receive a $250 Shop Isaac Voucher.
IRC Staff will reach out to participants closer to the Open Day to advise specific timings of the announcement.
