Dig It Isaac is back for a third year! We’re asking all of Isaac to get back to nature, in their own backyard. The competition is here to encourage residents to get back to basics by starting a new garden, finessing that lawn or completing a project that’s been sitting on the to-do list for a bit too long!

To take part, residents must spend at least $20 at a local Isaac business during the month of July, August or September to help them create their very own backyard oasis.

For those who are water wise. Native plant gardeners and the ingenious water recyclers will be rewarded in this category - enter for a great prize!

No space for a garden? No worries! Show us what you can do using only pots and planters, indoors or out.

Best School, Kindy or Daycare Garden - $350 Shop Isaac gift card - sponsored by Clermont Agencies

Get gardening students! Veggies, herbs, pot plants, flowers – as long as the hard-work has been done by the students (not groundskeepers or teachers) we want to see it!


A gardening themed activity pack will also be provided for children in the region.


PLUS there are 40 Wobble-tee sprinklers to give away to random entrants thanks to Isaac Regional Council's Water and Waste, and Liveability and Sustainability teams.


Entries will be accepted until Sunday, 18 September 11:59pm. When your garden is ready to go, upload photos or videos of your project, a brief description about your garden plus receipts from your local purchases at speakup.isaac.qld.gov.au. Entrants may nominate in up to two categories, but a residence may only be nominated by one entrant. If you are having any issues uploading your photos or videos, please email speakup@isaac.qld.gov.au.

The Dig It Isaac panel will then judge entries and announce winners on Friday, 30 September.

  • Enter your garden into Dig It Isaac

    When your garden glory is ready to go, here's what you need to do:

    1. Make sure you've spent your $20+ at a on creating your garden dream. You must have made your purchase at a business located in the Isaac region.
    2. Take some photos or videos of your garden (please don't include people in your images).
    3. Upload your images and/or videos and your receipt here by Sunday 18 September, 2022.
