Calling all community groups, makers, artists, businesses and locals! Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for the 2024 St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend.

The Gold award-winning St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend is on again from 21 - 23 June 2024. The festival celebrates the heritage and culture of St Lawrence and its ecologically significant wetlands.

Celebrity chef Matt Golinski and Logie award-winning Costa Georgiadis of Gardening Australia will headline the 2024 event along with an impressive lineup of food experiences, indigenous dancers, storytellers, and entertainers.

The event opens from 5.00pm on Friday 21 June with the "Sunset Cultural Experience" showcasing performances by Indigenous dancers and musicians. Saturday 22 June will feature an all-day market, workshops, gourmet food experiences, nature walks, bird tours, town tours, and crab races as well as live music in the evening. The program on Sunday 23 June includes more workshops, nature walks, bird tours, and town tours with the highlight being the "Cook Off" between Chef Matt Golinski and Gardening Guru Costa Georgiadis. The festival ends at 1.00 pm.

You are invited to submit expressions of interest for delivering activities during the festival. We wish to give festival goers an opportunity to purchase a diverse array of handmade goods from stunning homewares to unique jewellery, artworks and delicious food. We wish for people to discover the art of the handmade, gain an insight into forgotten trades, meet the makers and be inspired. Activities may include workshops and demonstrations, stalls and entertainment. We're also interested in hearing from wellness providers, food vendors, and cottage industries wanting to share their unique skills and showcase their products to a wide audience. Homemade food may be sold by stall holders.
