Council is delivering a series of exciting improvements to local recreational facilities as part of our Winter Works Program. These projects are scheduled for completion by the end of September 2026, weather permitting.

For this part of the project, Council is seeking community feedback on the proposed relocation of playground equipment from the Lions Park (Clermont skatepark) to the Clermont Sportsground.

The proposed move aims to create a more user friendly space, improve accessibility, and increase use by the community, particularly during sporting events.

Clubs that would benefit from the relocation:

  • Cricket
  • Rugby Union
  • Rugby League
  • Netball
  • Tennis
  • Soccer
  • School Athletics days

As part of this project, the fence line between the sportsground and carpark would be realigned to incorporate the playground within the sportsground area, creating a more cohesive and functional recreational space.

Council is committed to providing safe, modern and accessible facilities and looks forward to delivering improved spaces for the community to enjoy.

Council invites feedback on the proposed relocation site, as well as any alternative locations or suggestions the community would like considered.

Consultation closes Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
