Registrations have concluded
Whether you're an old hand, dabbling or just love a yarn, everyone is welcome at this year's Bush Poets Smoko at Historic Nebo Museum on Sunday, 10 October.
Poet Dan Lockyer, a longtime supporter of the event, will entertain the crowd and invite locals and visiting poets to step up to the podium and have their say.
Entry is free of charge. The gate will open at 9.00am with raffle tickets on sale. Smoko will be available for purchase.
The poetry program will run from 9.50am to 11.15am. If you'd like to tell a tall tale or perform a poem (your original creation or one written by someone else), please register by completing the form below.
Raffles will be drawn at 11.20am.
The main exhibition hall of the museum will be open for viewing between 9.00am and 9.40am and from 11.15am to 11.55am. It will close during the poetry program.
Attendance will be strictly through RSVP only and be restricted to 80 people maximum. Attendees must register to attend by speaking with a staff member of their local library, calling 1300 ISAACS (1300 47 22 27) or by completing the form below.
Council is committed to maintaining safe event practices that comply with the Queensland Government framework for COVID Safe events. COVID-19 rules, social distancing and upgraded hygiene measures will be in place at the venue for the safety of visitors and staff.
All attendees must be in good health prior to attending the event (eg. no runny noses, coughs, temperatures). Please refrain from attending if you are unwell, have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, have returned from a declared COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days or have been advised to self-isolate.
