Thank you, Moranbah for responding to our survey regarding the Moranbah Triathlon.
We received 23 responses from community members, and of this group, 13 of you want to see the Moranbah Triathlon carry on as an Australia Day tradition. Based on your feedback, we will continue delivering this event on 26 January. We are working through event delivery to ensure participants are competing in a COVIDSafe manner. Entries for 2021 will open soon – we can’t wait to see you swim, cycle and run your way to the finish line.
From the survey, we also learnt the main reasons that people enter and volunteer is because of the community spirit and the quality of the event – we’re so lucky to have so many community-minded people here in Moranbah to deliver such an inclusive athletic offering.
You also gave us some feedback on how we can make the triathlon even better. Please know we’ve taken your feedback on board and will be working on this for 2021 and beyond.
Thank you again to everyone who took the time to respond. See you on the 26 January!
2020 gave us a hint of what was in store when we were unable to host our annual Moranbah Triathlon on Australia Day due to wild weather. But in true Isaac-spirit, we dried ourselves off and tried again, this time on Clubs' Sign on Day (last Sunday in February) and over 70 athletes of all ages swam, rode and ran their way to the finish line.
Following the triathlon, we heard lots of feedback both for and against the date change, plus some ideas for other potential active events. So we're looking to you to let us know what date works for you, or if you have any ideas for other potential events.
Head to the survey below and provide your feedback. You have until Wednesday 11 November to have your say so race on to the survey!
